Hello! We are Chad and Kristy Kemp. Thanks for reading our story! We know you have a very hard choice to make, and we appreciate you taking the time to read our story and give us consideration.
Chad and I have been married for almost six years. We bought our second home about three years ago just outside of Nashville in the town of White House, TN.
Both of us have college degrees. I obtained my degree in X-Ray in 2003 while Chad graduated in 2002 with two degrees; one in Sociology and one in Criminal Justice. However, once we finished school and began jobs in our degree areas, we realized we didn’t like our jobs and weren’t happy. Chad now works for a construction company remodeling office buildings. He is much happier in this work, as he is very good working with his hands and fixing things, so this is right up his alley. I work at Sonic and have been doing so for ten years, even while I was going through college. We are both very happy with what we are doing even though it wasn’t what we started out to do. We are planning on one day for me to stay at home with our children.
Chad and I enjoy working on home improvements, going out with our friends, entertaining, bowling, playing cards and games. We like to travel. We try to go on at least one big vacation a year and we also go to Gatlinburg or to visit our family a couple times a year. We have a camper and we like to take that out a couple times a year, also. Chad is a big NASCAR fan and we and other couples take the camper to the races three times a year.
We have two dogs. They are Chihuahuas. One is black and his name is Shadow. Lady is white and a little bit smaller than Shadow. Chad likes to call them our fur babies. We try to take them with us whenever we can. They love to go see the Grandparents! Chad’s mom actually calls them her grand puppies. Our parents can't wait to be grandparents. This will be the first grandchild on both sides of the family.
We have been trying to have children for four years and we are very excited that God has led us down this road toward adoption. When I was eleven my appendix
ruptured and scar tissue occurred inside my body that pulled my organs out of position and are also causing some blockage to my uterus and that is why the doctors say we can not have children of our own. That is where you come in. Thanks for considering us and making our dream come true to have a family.
There are two things we want most to assure you. One is that your child will be truly loved and cared for all of their life, and second, he/she will be raised in church. We are very active at our church and that is something we believe every strongly in.
Thank you again for considering us.
Sincerely, Miriam’s Promise
