Cassie Ann & Robert

Hello, we are Cassie and Robert. We are thrilled that you want to know more about us!
We are both half-Korean, and we met because both our mothers attended the Korean
Church. For years, we were acquaintances until family set us up on a date. We dated
for about a year before Cassie had to move for a job. The long distance was difficult.
Eventually, a mutual decision was made to break up. That didn’t last very long, though.
After Cassie returned to her hometown, Robert was quick to ask her out again. This
time, we didn’t let any distance (even social distancing, thanks to COVID) get in the way
of the connection we had. There were plenty of phone calls and time spent visiting each
other’s animal crossing islands.
Now, as a happily married couple, we are grateful to have found each other. We are
always finding ways to make each other laugh. Sometimes that means Cassie makes
up a silly song while she cooks and Robert does a silly dance. Sometimes that means
sharing memes.
In our free time, we seek to find a balance between home, family, and adventure. We
make sure not to deprive ourselves of life experiences, while also cultivating hobbies
that are unique to us. Robert loves panting miniatures, watching anime, and playing
table-top games. Cassie loves reading, art, music, and is always willing to join Robert in
a game (often without having to be asked).
We also do our best to be there for family—be it a band recital, a graduation, or a birth
of a new baby.
There is so much love we have for each other, and our family, and so much more love
we can give. Our family is eager and supportive of the decision to adopt, and we hope
to provide a sense of community, peace, adventure, and security for our future child.
We are patient, but eager, for that moment and trust that God will lead the right
birthmother to us. We will continue to put our trust in him, as our love and our marriage
is centered on God.
