Dani & Colin

We’re Daniella and Colin, and we’re really happy you’re taking the time to get to know us.

We have been together almost 12 years. In 2018, we did what felt a little crazy at the time and moved to Nashville together with no roots here, just the belief that a new chapter was waiting. We got married in 2021, found our forever home shortly after, and have been slowly making it our own, a quiet neighborhood where deer wander through the backyard and the pace of life feels just right. We don’t have immediate family here in Nashville, but over the years we’ve built something just as meaningful: a village of friends who feel like family, who have already shown up for us through so much, and who are ready to be part of this journey too.

We’re an interracial couple. Daniella was born in Puerto Rico and grew up between two cultures after moving to Connecticut at eight, and Colin is a Connecticut native. The different worlds we come from have shaped the way we move through life together. Culture is something we hold close. Daniella knows firsthand how much it matters to feel seen in your own identity, and we would love to learn about yours: genuinely learn, not just acknowledge, so that your child grows up with that thread intact. Our home is one where every background, every identity, and every version of a person is celebrated.

Day to day, Daniella works as a sales manager for a hotel downtown and Colin is part of the income tracking team for a music publishing company. Outside of work Colin plays guitar, produces lo-fi music out of a little studio we carved out at home, and is currently teaching himself both Spanish and Japanese because one language project apparently wasn’t enough. Daniella loves baking, cooking, reading, and finding hidden treasure at the thrift store. Together, we’ve gotten deep into home renovation over the last few years, learning as we go, making mistakes, figuring it out, and genuinely loving the process. One of our favorite things to do is walking around our neighborhood together. It’s become the time we actually decompress, talk through our days, and reconnect. We have three cats, Nibbler, Fry, and Bender, and they’ve been our constants through every chapter of our lives and they’ll be a big part of this one too.

While we don’t practice a religion, we believe deeply that every person has the right to explore spirituality on their own terms and in their own time. We would make sure your child has access to that exploration, learning about different beliefs, traditions, and ways of understanding the world, so that when they’re ready, the choice is fully and freely theirs.

We didn’t arrive at adoption as a last resort. This is the path we chose. We want your child to grow up in a home where they’re never asked to be anything other than themselves, where curiosity is encouraged, differences are a source of pride, and love doesn’t come with conditions. We’d welcome you into our lives too, as much as you’d want. You would always be part of the story.

We know this process asks so much of you, and the fact that you took the time to read about us means more than we can say. Whatever path leads you forward, we hope it brings you peace. Thank you for being here.

With love,

Daniella & Colin
